Merchandise in OOTP
I inadvertently skipped over a fairly important source of revenue in OOTP. This fits under the generic title of “merchandise.”
Like everything else we’ve looked into so far, this figure can be adjusted in League Settings> Financials:
As was the case with the media contracts, merchandising is defined by a “baseline,” not a minimum amount. And, like the media contracts and ticket sales, it is influenced directly by market size, fan interest, and fan loyalty.
Based on what I’ve been able to gleam from the forums, it seems that the merchandising concept and the formula behind the revenue it generates has not been updated in years, if not decades.

At any rate, it’s clear that merchandising is yet another way that the rich are rewarded and the poor are punished in OOTP. I recommend at least considering cranking up the revenue sharing to make the game fair.
