Rare Diamond Mind Baseball Plays
There are some plays that you simply don’t see every day. One of the nice things about Diamond Mind Baseball, however, is that you’ve got a chance of seeing everything conceivable.
Just check out some of these examples.
I mean, being called out for going out of the baseline really is a rarity. I know that it comes up maybe a few times a year, but, seriously, most games aren’t even going to have this as an option.
The crazy thing, by the way, is that it’s happened to me more than once:
And here’s one I’ve never seen anywhere:
That turned from literally booting the ball for an error into a great play.
Now, you know something good is about to happen when the internal play by play commentator has a hard time figuring it out:
This is very well written and gives you just enough tension.
Sometimes you’ll see other oddities, like catchers picking runners off of second base:
There’s also a few little things like catcher’s interference:
Occasionally you’ll also see really strange assist-putout combinations, like this one:
I can’t remember ever seeing a 4-1 putout like this.
Finally there’s this one, which probably wouldn’t have actually happened in 1949:
I guess you get home run reviews even before instant replay was invented!
