Of course, I made a mistake while publishing, and wound up sending it out weeks before I intended to.

I’ve got a steadily growing library of material for paying subscribers. These include:

• High quality versions of old baseball radio broadcasts (better than what you’ll find on YouTube)

• High quality copies of old baseball television broadcasts (including a lot in DVD format)

• Access to an extensive library of baseball books and publications — including some hard to find issues of major magazines

• All sorts of statistic files I’ve generated myself, including the Domination Index files, my National Pastime notes, and so on

Plus a lot more.

I want to keep this blog free for all readers. I also hope to make this a resource for people interested in all baseball sims, whether traditional tabletop, computer, or whatever.

Most of our discussions still take place on message boards. The problem, of course, is that message board threads tend to disappear. Some important message boards have folded over time. Others become inundated with new posts, making it really hard to find the one post you really want to read.

The blog structure solves that problem. The posts here are easily searchable in Google, and will stay up indefinitely. And we’re going to keep them free to all.

Your support can help keep this a quality resource that everybody can access, including the replayers of the future.

Would you be interested in a weekly podcast covering baseball sim related issues?

Substack has a podcast feature that I’ve never used. I’d love to try it out, and am wondering if this is something that paid subscribers might be interested in.

I know that there are other sim related podcasts out there. I’d try to figure out a different and unique angle. In fact, if you’ve got any recommendation — or if you think it’s a dumb idea — please let me know in the comments below.
