1929 is a good year. Although the 29 A’s are one of the top 5 or 10 teams of all time, the Cubs were very strong, too, and could have pulled an upset. They had a better chance than the 31 Cardinals, IMO.
How about the missing games of the Indians 1995 schedule. How many more could they have won? They were going at the rate of 112.5 which would have been an AL record at the time.
How about the 1967 American League, one of the best Pennant Races of all time.
I suggest the 1964 and 1968 World Series. These are two of my favorite years.
