The Return of Baseball
As the weather finally warms up here in the mid-Atlantic region and the ice melts away, I was pleased to find this old poem from The Philadelphia Inquirer in 1919.
Instead of a long post today, I’ll just leave you with this:
“Jim Nasium” was the pen name of Edgar Forrest Wolfe, a fantastic newspaper artist from back in the days when newspapers still had art. But this poem is simply awesome. It really captures the feeling of returning to the grand old game after the horrors of the Great War.
I hope everything is well with all of you! Pitchers and catchers are reporting as we speak.

Dan: Always a treat. Send me your address, and I'll send you my Opening Day Card ( I don't do Christmas).
