Baseball Sim ADHD
Every now and then I find myself thinking about new projects or new replays I could start.
Of course, the problem with trying to do two or three or ten projects at once is that you don’t really have enough time to get as invested and as immersed in your project as you’d like.
But that makes me wonder. Do any of you have multiple projects going on at the same time? If so, how do you manage them?
Let me know in the comments - let’s have a discussion.

I am so relieved to hear that multiple projects are more common than I thought.
Am retired and am currently about 25% into my full 1952 MLB replay (APBA). I was initially attracted to it because it was the last season for all 16 franchises in the same city they had been for half a century. But I’m already getting a bit bored. Too many obscure players I’ve simply never heard of. The Yankees are already running away with the AL, while it’s obvious the NL will be a two-team race between the Giants and Dodgers.
As a result, I’ve recently been toying with the idea of also starting a 1978 replay project. Four great division races. And, since I turned 19 in the summer of ‘78, it would take me back to an outstanding time in my life where I was playing and following baseball closely, and can remember almost every MLB player.
After reading these comments, jumping back and forth from 1952 to ‘78 every couple of months might not be such a bad idea for me.
I like to do historical season replays on OOTP, and I'm currently playing through 1908, 1927, and 1996. I realize there are sims that would get me more realistic results (though I'm quite happy with OOTP27's results) but I really like the visuals OOTP...the accurate parks, uniforms, face gen, etc. The bottom line is that I'm having a ton of fun, and that is my rule with sims. Having fun is my #1 priority when playing sims.
