Rube Oldring Saves The Day
For the second 1908 game in a row, I didn’t manage to get any screenshots.
This one is pretty simple, actually. The Senators brought a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the 7th, when Rube Oldring doubled with two men on to put the Athletics up, 2-1.
Washington didn’t mount anything even close to a comeback afterwards, and that’s pretty much all she wrote.
These 1908 games are tricky to write, since there generally isn’t much offense. 9 hits combined between two teams just feels so empty.
Real Life
There was a little bit more excitement in real life, however:
That’s right: if you were ever wondering when the Philadelphia Athletics turned their first triple play at home, you now know.

Standings
Not much has changed, of course. I wonder how long it will take for the Reds to win their second game.
